Welcome to the new 'Southern England' section of the Early Blues website.

Recently received an email about the "Fifth Annual Free Festival of Skiffle & Related Musics" way down south in Middlesex, England, with loads of Jug Band, Leadbelly, Rural Blues, Donegan, Hokum, plenty of washboards. Sounds good, so here are the details:

SKIFFLE MADNESS 5 - the Fifth Annual Free Festival of Skiffle & Related Musics, 1.00-5.30pm Sunday 20 February 2005, upstairs at the Cabbage Patch, 67 London Road, Twickenham, Middx, England. 

ADMISSION FREE  Great skiffling bands: The Mounthoolies. Betty Davila & the Acoustic Astronauts, King Street Smith & His Blues Buddies, The Zimmer Boys, The New City Gamblers, The Jim McLean Band.
