The
place to be at Colne’s National R ‘n B Festival. Jim’s
is a cult
meeting place-cum-juke joint for lovers of good old acoustic blues —
first sung and
played by working-class blacks in the Southern States of the U.S.A. from the
turn of the century.
”Mississippi” Max Haymes introduced a whole cavalcade of great blues talent non-stop for 6 hours each day of the festival. Featuring slicing slide guitar, moanin’ pianner, train-whistle harp, befuddled fiddle, and much more besides.
Serving wicked real ale, fine wine and exotic vegetarian meals, Jim’s Cafe has an atmosphere for the Blues, bar none’. Informal, foot-stompin’ in the day, blues fans can rest easy in its intimacy at night’. With the lights way down low, you can boogie all night long. Have mercy, NOW!!
