Slowburner
Maryport Bitter and Blues Festival 2005

Saturday 30th July 2005
www.slowburner.co.uk

Based in the Worcestershire area, Slowburner have been together since the late eighties, gigging constantly, recording regularly and never compromising their blues-soaked rock sound and style. They play real rhythm and blues/rock in the style of Free, Gallagher, Humble Pie and the Faces. As well as many headline shows up and down the country, the band has had prestigious support slots with: Doctor Feelgood, Nine Below Zero, Wishbone Ash, Ian Gillan, Humble Pie, Mick Taylor, Stan Webb, Ten Years After, Hamsters, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Peter Green Splinter Group, Steve Gibbons, Dana Gillespie and many more. The quartet comprises Paul Bridgewater: Vocals, Mike Bannister: Guitar, Rob Newell: Bass Guitar and Colin Edmonds on Drums playing Blues/Rock to wake the dead, the way Brits are not supposed to be able to.
